Indigenous Tourism
Manitoba is home to 63 First Nations communities
and is the birthplace of the Métis Nation of Canada.
The Manitoba Indigenous Tourism Strategy identifies
Indigenous tourism experiences as an important part
of visiting Manitoba and that these experiences have
high potential to be recognized as iconic Canadian
tourism products that capture the attention of visitors
from around the world. Travel Manitoba collaborates
with the Indigenous Tourism Association of Manitoba
(ITM) for partnership and marketing.
